This platform does not provide direct support. We do not offer crisis intervention, therapy, counselling, or medical advice. Instead, we provide information and signposting to external services that may be able to help.
Men’s Mental Health
Information, Resources & Find Support
Welcome! Explore men’s mental health topics, resources, support services, and groups.
Whether you’re looking for information, community, or different approaches to well-being, this site provides insights to help you explore what works for you.
What’s on Your Mind.
Life throws challenges at all of us, and sometimes they can feel overwhelming. Here, you can explore topics that commonly affect men — including stress, anger, anxiety, depression, relationships, and everyday pressures. Each section helps you understand what may be happening, recognise the signs, and learn about possible ways forward.
Taking time to understand your mental health is a powerful first step toward feeling better.
What Helps. There Are Always Options.
There’s no single path to recovery — everyone’s journey is different. This section introduces the various approaches that can support better mental health, such as therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, and alternative treatments. These overviews can help you learn what might suit your needs and encourage informed conversations with healthcare professionals. Understanding your options can open the door to lasting change and greater wellbeing.
Find a Group Near You.
Across the UK, local and online men’s groups are creating safe spaces to connect, talk, walk, or simply listen. Whether you’re looking for peer-to-peer discussions, sport-based meet-ups, or community-led sessions, our group map helps you explore what’s nearby. Joining a group can build connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging — one conversation at a time.
You are not alone; you just haven’t found your people yet. Connection can change everything — one conversation, one shared story, one step at a time.
Looking for Help. Find Trusted Support.
If something’s been on your mind, there are many supportive organisations ready to listen and help you move forward. This section connects you with trusted national services focused on different areas — from anxiety and addiction to relationships, grief, and work-related stress. These organisations can offer understanding, practical tools, and information, and some may provide advice or extra resources to guide you along the way. However you choose to reach out — by phone, text, or online — support is there when you need it.
Reaching out is a sign of strength — you matter, always.
What Does MMH Stand For?
MMH stands for Men’s Mental Health and My Mental Health. It reflects our belief that support should be personal, accessible, and shaped by what works for you. We aim to guide men toward reliable resources, information, on their journey to better mental health and emotional well-being.
Interestingly, “mmh” is also an interjection — a sound people use to show understanding or to encourage someone to keep talking. That fits perfectly with our mission: encouraging open conversations and helping men find places where they feel heard, accepted, and supported.
Find Support. Your Way.
Everyone’s path is different. We help with the signposts.
Why MMH CIC Exists
MMH CIC was founded from lived experience — because we know what it’s like to struggle, to feel unheard, and to not know where to turn. MMH CIC exists to change that.
Our platform points men toward support options that may work for them — whether that’s a peer group, a text line, an online resource, or simply the reassurance that they’re not alone.
Every man’s journey is different. We’re here with the signposts.
Why It Matters
Suicide is reported as a leading cause of death among men under 50 in the UK. Yet, many continue to face mental health challenges alone — often due to stigma, uncertainty about where to turn, or the fear of being judged.
At MMH CIC, we believe that everyone should know what support options are out there — and how to access them in a way that feels right for them.
Our platform was created to provide information and signpost to external services that may help. The figures below highlight why raising awareness and increasing visibility of support matters so much.
These statistics, largely sourced from the Mental Health Foundation and The Office for National Statistics, vividly illustrate the pressing need for increased awareness, understanding, and pathways to support for men’s mental health, which is precisely what MMH CIC aims to facilitate.
“I created MMH because I know how it feels to be in that dark place, feeling there is only one way out.
Scrolling through my phone, needing help, but feeling no-one cares, no-one will listen. There are people that care, they will listen. You matter and there is no shame in needing help. Reach out.”
How We Play Our Part
At MMH CIC, our aim is to make it easier for men to explore support options in a way that feels right for them. While we don’t provide direct help, therapy, or crisis support, we focus on removing barriers — like stigma, confusion, or lack of visibility — that can get in the way of seeking help.
Here’s how our platform supports that mission:
Empathetic & Informative Content
Helpful, straightforward articles and guides designed to explain the mental health challenges men may face — and how to begin exploring ways forward.
Comprehensive Resource Hub
A central space for trusted external links to peer support groups, helplines, therapy directories, and mental health organisations — so men can find what suits them.
Fostering Understanding & Shared Experience
We believe that open conversation matters. That’s why our platform encourages shared understanding and connection through real topics that affect men’s lives.
