MMH Men’s Mental Health does not provide direct mental health support. We do not offer crisis intervention, therapy, counselling, or medical advice. Instead, we provide information and signposting to external services that may be able to help.
Who We Are
Men’s mental health matters, but too many struggle alone. MMH Men’s Mental Health CIC is a community interest company dedicated to signposting men to support.
We provide information on professional resources, peer support groups, and crisis services to help men find support options that align with their comfort level. Our mission is to break the stigma around men’s mental health and make it easier for individuals to access the information they need.
What We Do
At MMH Men’s Mental Health CIC, our mission is to make mental health support more accessible. We signpost men to external services, peer support groups, and professional help while challenging stigma through education.
- Self-help tools
- External professional services
- Peer-support groups
This ensures that men can make informed decisions about their mental well-being.
Why It Matters
Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50. Yet, many struggle in silence due to stigma, lack of resources, or fear of judgment.
Our platform exists to highlight available support options, ensuring men know where to find help.
How We Help
- Signposting to Resources – We provide links to external professional services, crisis helplines, online resources, and community support groups.
- Raising Awareness – Our platform shares information on mental health topics and available treatment options.
- Encouraging Conversations – We help spread awareness by providing information that allows men to explore different support options.
Your Support, Your Way.
Why I Started MMH Men’s Mental Health
MMH Men’s Mental Health was created because I know what it’s like to struggle in silence.
I know what it’s like to scroll through your phone, searching for help and guidance but feeling lost. I wasn’t even aware of groups like
Andy’s Man Club, and even if I had been, I was too ashamed to go.
I’ve faced addictions, suicide attempts, and the loss of loved ones to suicide and overdoses. I’ve been in a toxic, manipulative relationship that broke me, lost everything, and ended up homeless. At my lowest, I believed I had no self-worth, and that no one would listen.
I also live with anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and on my journey, I’ve experienced firsthand the impact of reaching out for help. I’ve used Samaritans when I had nowhere else to turn, and I was lucky to have an amazing support worker. Therapy, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), also played a role in helping me rebuild my life.
But I also learned that help is available—and that’s why I started MMH.
I’m not a therapist and do not provide direct support, but I signpost to external resources where men can find information on the support options available to them.
