This page outlines the Safeguarding Protocols we adhere to for user safety, as well as the Limitations of Liability regarding the information provided on mens-mental-health.co.uk.
1. Safeguarding & Duty of Care
Our Commitment to SafetyMMH Men’s Mental Health CIC operates as a digital infrastructure and signposting utility. We do not provide direct clinical care, counseling, or emergency crisis intervention. However, we recognise our platform is used by vulnerable adults and we adhere to strict non-clinical safety protocols.
A. The "No-Touch" Protocol
- MMH CIC staff and volunteers are strictly prohibited from offering personal advice, counseling, or "listening services."
- All communication is scripted to immediately redirect users to statutory services (NHS 111, Samaritans, 999) rather than engaging in therapeutic dialogue.
B. Vetting of External Partners
- We conduct due diligence on "External Partners" listed on our map to verify they are legitimate entities.
- We do not knowingly signpost to unregulated or "high-risk" lone providers without verification.
C. Emergency Escalation
- In the rare event that a user contacts us expressing immediate intent to harm themselves or others, we do not engage in clinical dialogue.
- We will immediately reply with our Crisis Redirection information.
- We reserve the right to contact emergency services if there is an imminent risk to life, in accordance with GDPR "Vital Interests" exemptions.
